Terms of service & refund policy

The agreement between you and DORA Workbench when you use the resilience workbench.

Who you are contracting with

The service is operated by DORA Workbench, 11 Regent Road, Widnes, United Kingdom ("we", "us"). Contact: doratools@proton.me. By creating an account or continuing to use the service you agree to these terms. If you are signing up on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind it; otherwise you confirm you are of legal age.

What the service does

The workbench helps financial entities and their ICT providers prepare DORA documentation: validating a Register of Information against the ESA templates, drafting Article 30 contract schedules, tracking ICT incident notification deadlines, and publishing a vendor DORA passport. It is a software tool. It is not legal, regulatory or audit advice, and it does not submit anything to a competent authority on your behalf — you remain responsible for what you file and when.

Acceptable use

You must not use the service:

  • for anything unlawful, fraudulent, or for spam;
  • to infringe anyone's intellectual property or confidentiality;
  • to interfere with the security or integrity of the service, including malware, probing, penetration testing without written consent, scraping, or circumventing plan limits;
  • to upload personal data you have no lawful basis to process.

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for activity carried out under your account and workspace.

Your content and our intellectual property

You keep ownership of the registers, schedules, incident records and passport content you create. You grant us a limited licence to host and process that content solely to provide the service. We retain all intellectual property in the software, templates, validation logic, documentation and branding, and grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service within your chosen plan. You must not reverse engineer, resell or redistribute the service.

AI features

The compliance assistant produces AI-generated output that may be incomplete or inaccurate. Verify anything material before relying on it, and do not treat it as regulated professional advice. You are responsible for your prompts, for having the rights to any content you enter, and for how you use the output. We may filter or refuse outputs and suspend accounts for abuse.

Plans, billing and taxes

Every new workspace gets a 14-day free trial. After that a paid plan is required to use the modules; your saved data stays intact and becomes available again as soon as a plan is active. Plans renew automatically each month or year until cancelled, and you can cancel at any time from your account — access continues to the end of the period you have paid for.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, tax and cancellation mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms. Prices exclude VAT, which is calculated at checkout.

Refund policy

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee. If the workbench is not right for you, request a full refund within 30 days of your order date and we will approve it. Refunds are processed by our payment provider, Paddle — request one at paddle.net or email doratools@proton.me and we will arrange it.

Availability and warranties

We work to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free performance. To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

Liability

Our aggregate liability is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim. We exclude liability for indirect, consequential or special damages, including lost profits, lost data and lost goodwill, and for any regulatory penalty arising from your filings. Nothing here excludes liability for fraud, death or personal injury where the law does not allow it. You indemnify us against claims arising from your content, your unlawful use, or your breach of these terms.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access for material breach, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated policy violations. You may close your account at any time. On termination you can export your saved records; after 30 days we delete or anonymise them as set out in our privacy & data protection notice.

General

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, with the courts of England and Wales having jurisdiction. You may not assign this agreement without our consent; we may assign it as part of a merger or acquisition. Neither party is liable for delay caused by events beyond its reasonable control. If we change these terms materially we will tell account holders by email.
